Margarita Osepyan – Digital Stages Programme Director and Producer 

Margarita has been working in the cultural sector since 1998 in the capacity of production co-ordinator, performer and then later producer for a number of international theatre and film festivals and companies in Russia and the UK. In 2006 Margarita completed an MA degree in Digital Performance at the University of Hull and since then worked for the Russian Film Festival (2008) and Russian Theatre Festival in London among other cultural ventures. In 2009 Margarita co-founded the independent events and production company GLAZ that initiates, curates and produces multidisciplinary cultural events in London.

Alissa Timoshkina – Digital Stages Producer 

Alissa has been involved in the cultural sphere of the UK capital in a number of ways: as coordinator, curator and producer of various arts related events. Alissa has completed an MA degree in Film Studies at University of London, and since then has worked as programme director and producer of the Russian Film Festival and other cultural events dedicated to (Russian) cinema in London. In 2009 Alissa co-founded an independent events and production company GLAZ. She is also undertaking a PhD research in Film Studies.

Kate Sicchio – Digital Stages Curator 

Kate Sicchio is choreographer, media artist and performer. She is a lecturer in Dance at the University of Lincoln and  a member of editorial board of International Journal for Performance Arts with Digital Media. Her work includes dance performances, installations, web and video projects and has been shown in Philadelphia, New York City, Canada, Germany and across the UK, at venues such as Banff New Media Institute, WAX Brooklyn, Sightsonic International Digital Arts Festival, and most recently a commission for the Screen Deva Festival.

Sarah Rubidge – Digital Stages Consultant 

Sarah is a practising artist and professor of Choreography and New Media at the University of Chichester. As a collaborative artist she develops choreographic digital installations that focus on the use of the somatic as the primary medium of communication (Sensuous Geographies, Fugitive Moments). Some of the installations initiate improvisational choreographies (formal and informal) that become integral choreographic elements of the installation (Passing Phases, Sensuous Geographies). Other draw on the histories embodied in the fabric of old buildings (Hidden Histories, Time & Tide). The works have been shown as far apart as London, Los Angeles and Brisbane. Her writing addresses the interweaving of the philosophical concepts that are embodied in her work in order to advance understanding of the intricate interplay between the artistic and philosophical practices.

Natalia Vartapetova – Digital Stages Marketing Consultant 

Natalia has been working as a marketing and PR manager and executive producer in the cultural sector since 2004, starting with experimental music and theatre projects in Moscow, Russia. She completed an MA degree in Cultural and Creative Industries at King’s College, London, in 2008, and for the last three years has been working in independent film distribution and exhibition. Since 2008 Natalia has been employed by the Barbican Centre, as well as being a freelance consultant for visual and performing arts projects, Digital Stages being the most recent of them.

Elena Castello – Digital Stages PR and Marketing Executive 

Elena studied sociology (in Padova, Italy) and International Communications (in Milan and Paris). She gained experience in international PR from working in different cities and environments in Paris and in London as Press and Communication assistant for two fashion designers and in Copenhagen she was in charge of International PR for the Fashion Week. She also writes for the Italian online magazine Gheminga on cinema, fashion and art.

Anni Wessman – Digital Stages Hospitality Coordinator 

Anni is currently doing an MA in Film Studies at Queen Mary and King’s College, University of London. Originally from Finland, she recently started working as a free-lance translator, working on an upcoming Finnish art-house film.

Maria Pasholok – Digital Stages Copywriter 

Maria is a freelance journalist with a strong academic background and experience in theatre performance. Having a Master’s degree from Cambridge University in Screen Media and Cultures, now Maria is completing her Doctoral thesis at Oxford. Her research interests include avant-garde Soviet theatre of the 1920 as well as modern theatre practices with the focus on Anatoliy Vasiliev’s school. She writes on theatre and film industry for a number of British and Russian magazines and newspapers.

Ksenia Vashchenko – Digital Stages Coordinator 

Ksenia graduated from MA Costume Design for Performance at London College of Fashion in 2010. She worked in fashion, film and theatre in Paris and London. Since 2009 Ksenia has been collaborating with GLAZ on their various projects in the capacity of graphic designer, event stylist and coordinator. She is also working as a freelance costume and production designer in London.

Catrine Bodum – Digital Stages Visual Content and Graphic Design 

Catrine Bodum is an artist with a BFA from Parsons, New York, and an MA, distinction, from Byam Shaw, CSM, London. She currently splits her time between London and Luzern, Switzerland. Catrine has had a number of group and solo shows internationally, coming up is a solo show at Kokoro Studio in San Fransisco and a group show curated by Plasticina here in London this April. This year Catrine has also been asked to take part in the Elephant Parade Copenhagen. The decorated elephants will be on view in Copenhagen from June 1 – August 25, 2011. Catrine has collaborated with GLAZ over the past year as graphic designer and is the creator of the visual content and graphic design of this years Digital Stages Festival logo, website and promotions.

Alexander Kviria – Director of Digital Stages Video Diary 

Alexander Kviria graduated from Russian film institute (VGIK) faculty of film directing in 2003. Since then he had worked for several TV companies in Moscow and Tbilisi as an editor, screen writer and producer. He is an independent film-maker residing in London from 2007. Alexander made several shorts and documentaries, his recent documentary “Gorelovka – Episodes form the Life of Disappearing Community” is successfully screening at different international film festivals and got into competition of GoEast Film Festival in Germany.
